Is Yoga not good? Because I don’t know these six basic principles! (Classic)

Yoga on the road is not in yoga, or in yoga on the road, attention said to practice yoga, not rough practice

.

Practice more than right! Practice yoga, practice with wisdom

.

Here, I’d like to share with you six basic principles of yoga practice

.

If you master these principles, yoga practice will become more stable, relaxed and effective

.

1

.

Start with the basics

.

When you practice a pose, your mind needs to scan your whole body like a scanner to make some subtle adjustments

.

Watch carefully, starting from where your body is in contact with the ground

.

Is your foundation stable? Can you adjust the arch, the outside and the inside of the foot? Your feet should be stable and your sense of the present state should be stable

.

Then go up and bring awareness to your hips, abdomen, shoulders, and top of your head

.

When you have a downward force, the ground will give you an upward force

.

It’s like throwing a ball to the ground and it will bounce

.

So, you will hear the teacher say in yoga class, take root, is to better up

.

Try to find this feeling in the sideboard position

.

When you push your hand down, can you feel your body become light? Or when you practice handstand, the more you push down, the easier it is to jump up

.

3

.

Practice with awareness

.

When water flows through a place, always look for the easiest place to pass

.

Our bodies are the same

.

When we fold or bend back, we always start from the softest part

.

If we practice without awareness, we will over squeeze, bend and lengthen the soft parts, but the rigid parts will not be opened

.

For example, sitting and bending forward, because the back of the thigh is tight, it will be over folded from the waist, which will lead to disc compression

.

In order to avoid squeezing a part of the body, we need to know how to balance it

.

For example, in the mountain pose, if we push the thigh bone back, it will make the buttocks up and squeeze the lumbar spine

.

In order not to let the lumbar vertebrae be squeezed, we need to let the buttock muscle down and away from the waist, so that we can stretch the lumbar vertebrae

.

The two movements should be balanced

.

5

.

Action vs action when we stand and raise our hands, we change the shape of our body

.

This is called action

.

Movements change the shape of the pose

.

When we are soldiers, we spread out our toes and take root

.

This is called action

.

Action doesn’t change the shape of the pose, but it makes it more vital

.

At the same time, action brings physical and mental connection

.

6

.

Meditation and joy finding the balance between strength and flexibility is an important part of practice

.

It depends on our attitude and action

.

If we don’t work hard, nothing will change, but if we work too hard, we will exceed our limit and get hurt

.

Some rules give us freedom, such as regular practice, self exploration and progress

.

But following the rules too much will make us old-fashioned and depend too much on experience

.

It’s important to find a balance

.

You can try it in asana

.

For example, soldier two, too far away from our feet will make us unstable, too close to our feet will limit the extension and opening of the hip

.

After finding the stability and strength of the legs, the hands can be extended and opened to both sides more freely

.

I hope these six principles will be helpful to the students

.

Some teachers said that we are learning yoga, not doing yoga

.

It’s important to regard yoga as a learning object, not just to act blindly, with awareness and own understanding
